Remote software projects for businesses anywhere in India
Weekly demos on video calls, GST invoices, UPI and bank transfers, and Android-first apps for a market where most people carry an Android phone.
For a business elsewhere in India, working with us means a remote project with a fixed scope, a working demo on a video call every week, GST-compliant invoices and payment by UPI, NEFT or RTGS. Our team is in Madurai, our apps are built Android-first, and the source code is yours on final payment.
Working with us
- 01
A working demo each week
During development you see real screens on a video call every week, so a misunderstanding surfaces in days rather than at launch.
- 02
Rupee invoices with GST
Each milestone comes with a GST-compliant invoice, payable by UPI, NEFT or RTGS.
- 03
Razorpay at your checkout
When your site or app collects money, we integrate Razorpay so customers can pay by UPI, card or netbanking.
- 04
Android before iPhone
Most Indian customers and field staff carry Android phones, so we recommend launching there and adding iOS once your users ask for it.
- 05
Ownership on final payment
Source code, design files, accounts and documentation transfer to you, so another team could take over if you ever chose.
Keeping sight of the work at a distance
A business in Pune or Kolkata considering VS Tech Builders has an obvious worry: losing sight of the work once the advance is paid. The answer is a fixed routine rather than reassurance. The project opens with a discovery call where we map your process and agree a written, fixed scope. During development, every week ends with a demo on a video call showing working screens, not slides. Your team tries each build on their own phones through a shared link, and every decision is recorded in writing. Our six-step process is published, so you know what happens at each stage before you sign anything.
Invoices and payments that fit Indian books
Every quote is fixed-scope and split into three milestones: an advance to start, a payment at the midpoint and the balance on delivery. Each milestone carries a GST-compliant invoice, and you pay by UPI, NEFT or RTGS like any other Indian vendor, with nothing billed in foreign currency. When the final payment clears, the source code, design files, accounts and documentation move to you, and because the code is yours there is no licence fee for continuing to use it.
Personal data and the DPDP Act
If your website or app collects names, phone numbers or addresses, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act applies to you. At a general level, it expects you to collect personal data for a stated purpose with the person's consent, keep it reasonably secure and stop holding it once that purpose is served. We build the technical side: plain-language consent screens, access limited by role, encrypted connections, and a way to export or delete one person's records on request. What your notices say, and how the Act applies to your sector, is a question for your lawyer.
Why our apps start on Android
India is an Android-first market. Your customers, delivery riders and sales staff are far more likely to carry an affordable Android phone than an iPhone, often on patchy mobile data. That is why we build native Android apps in Kotlin that stay light, keep working offline where the job demands it and sync when the network returns. iOS comes later, when your users ask for it, or from the first day through a cross-platform build if both platforms matter equally.
Metro clients get the same terms
Working from outside a metro changes nothing about how we serve one. A Bengaluru start-up that needs a fast marketing site before launch, a Chennai manufacturer moving dispatch off spreadsheets, a Mumbai consumer brand ready to sell beyond marketplaces and a Delhi distributor putting its sales team on an app all get the same scope document, weekly demos and handover. Our city guides go deeper: website development in Bangalore, business management software in Chennai, e-commerce development in Mumbai and Android app development in Delhi.
What we need from you
Remote projects succeed or stall on the client's side as often as ours. Name one person who can make decisions, keep an hour free each week for the demo, and share real samples early: an actual invoice, a genuine stock sheet, last month's orders. Feedback given within a day or two keeps the schedule intact, while feedback held for three weeks moves the launch by roughly three weeks.
When a team in your own city is the better choice
Remote work has limits, and we would rather name them. If you need a developer in your office every day, or a long-term product team that grows with your company, hire locally or in-house. If the project depends on frequent visits to many sites, a firm with people in your region will serve you better. For most fixed-scope builds, though, a dependable weekly routine does more for the outcome than a shorter commute.
Frequently asked questions
Which payment gateway do you use for Indian customers?
For most Indian websites and apps we integrate Razorpay, which lets customers pay by UPI, debit or credit card, netbanking and wallets, and settles the money to your bank account. We connect it to your orders so that paid, failed and refunded payments appear in your admin panel, not only in the gateway dashboard. If you already use another gateway, mention it at discovery so the choice is made before design starts.
How are payments split, and what invoices do we receive?
The fixed price is paid in three parts: 40% upfront, 30% at the midpoint and 30% on delivery. Each payment comes with a GST-compliant invoice, and you can pay by UPI, NEFT or RTGS. Work outside the agreed scope is discussed and priced before anyone starts on it, so there are no surprises in the final bill.
Will our software comply with the DPDP Act?
We build the safeguards the software is responsible for: consent capture with a clear purpose, access limited to the staff who need it, secure storage and the ability to correct or erase a person's data. Compliance also depends on your notices, your internal policies and how your team handles data day to day, so the overall assessment belongs with your legal adviser rather than your developer.
Should our first app be Android only, or Android and iPhone together?
If your customers or staff mostly carry Android phones, which is common in India, start with a native Android app; it costs less and reaches the people who matter first. If your buyers are split across both platforms, a cross-platform build in Flutter or React Native covers both at once. Android apps typically start around ₹65,000, and a focused single-purpose app takes six to eight weeks.
